Ronan CARIOU

Doctor Ronan CARIOU was born in 1977. He graduated from an agricultural engineering school (ENSAR, Rennes, France) with a specialization in food process in 2001 and joined LABERCA in 2002 during his Master’s degree. In 2006, he obtained a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Nantes University for his work related to the « Evaluation of the fetus and newborn exposure to brominated flame retardant type endocrine disruptors ». He then took on a post-doctoral fellow position at LABERCA, of which he is now a permanent senior scientist. In 2017, he obtained the French diploma to manage PhD?candidates (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches - HDR). He is involved in research projects related to the assessment of the dietary exposure to emerging substances such as halogenated persistent organic pollutants as well as compounds migrating from food contact materials.
