Emmanuelle Bichon was born on 27 February 1976. She graduated from Nantes University of Sciences as an Engineer in Analytical Chemistry and joined the LABERCA in 1998. Within the laboratory, she had the opportunity to work on several projects pertaining to the study of pesticides transfer in the Environment and the Food Chain, such as an inter-regional project on the study of pesticides in marine molluscs in 1999. In 2000, she became scientific coordinator of this project. More recently, she has been studying natural steroids, particularly through the development and application of stable carbon isotop analysis to the detection of cortisol administration in cattle.
From 2003 to 2005, she was responsible for the Growth Promoters Unit within the LABERCA, managing a team of 7 persons.
In January 2006, she was appointed Technical Support and Innovation Engineer, in charge of providing technical support to the LABERCA’s Units and Projects managers, assisting the Scientific Manager and developing new methods of analysis. She works closely with her colleagues involved in research projects and assists them with the setting-up of the methods and techniques needed to meet their specific needs. She also deals with the specific demands from outside organisations related to the Laboratorys’ Expertise in the field of Mass Spectrometry.
Emmanuelle is a member of the LABERCA’s executive team.
